Connect Confluence to the Knowledge Base - Automation Anywhere EKB Docs

Connect Confluence Cloud (OAuth) or Confluence On-Premise (server URL + bearer token) to this project. After the connection is active, add pages and spaces using Add Confluence Content. This page is about the Knowledge Base connector (auth / connection). Separately, agents and workflows can call Confluence live via the agent Confluence toolkit and workflow Confluence toolkit.

Prerequisites

Connection type	You need
Confluence Cloud	Atlassian account that can authorize the app; browser to complete OAuth
Confluence On-Premise (Beta)	Base Confluence Server URL and a Bearer Token with permission to read the spaces/pages you will sync

Where to connect

You can reach the same connector from either place:

Project Settings	Settings → Connections → Cloud Storage & Documentation → Confluence
Knowledge Base Settings	Knowledge Base → Settings → Connectors → Confluence

The Confluence tile shows a green status and a connection count when linked.

Connect Confluence

Open the Confluence tile and choose + Add Connection (or Connect).
Select a connection type:

Confluence Cloud	OAuth redirect to Atlassian	None in-app — accept permissions on Atlassian’s screen
Confluence On-Premise (Beta)	Bearer token	Confluence Server URL (valid URL) and Bearer Token

Complete authentication (Accept on Atlassian, or Connect on the on-prem form).
Confirm the tile shows the connection as active.

You can maintain Cloud and On-Prem connections; disconnect from the Confluence modal when a link should be removed. Generate on-prem bearer tokens from your Confluence account / admin settings according to your Confluence version’s docs.

Next: add content

With the connection established, ingest spaces and pages: Add Confluence Content to the Knowledge Base — URL Upload, Extract subpages, Explore spaces, force re-sync, and cancel sync.

Troubleshooting

Symptom	What to check
OAuth fails / returns without a connection	Complete Accept on Atlassian; retry from the Confluence tile; confirm popup/redirects are allowed
On-prem connect errors	Valid absolute Server URL; non-empty bearer token; network path from EKB to Confluence
